About Us
Tuck GC Mission Statement –
Putting this plan to action, Tuck believes in only working with a few clients at a time. He focuses on providing the best possible service from the point of sale through the end of construction. Most companies have a salesperson who will promise the world. Once they get the contract, they sometimes disappear. They pass the file to a manager, who then passes the file to a subcontractor. During this process, a lot of design ideas and details can be lost. At Tuck GC, Inc. there is no such middleman. Tuck handles everything though out the process.
What Do We Do For Our Customer?

About the Owner – Tuck
Tuck started Tuck GC, Inc. in 2016 after a long run as the general manager at one of the area’s top construction firms. He learned a tremendous amount of knowledge installing thousands of projects over the years. Desiring a slower pace than the 300+ jobs a year he was overseeing and to provide the best customer service in the construction industry, Tuck GC was created. Tuck believes in only working with a few clients at a time, and personally handles the sales and installation of all projects. With this business model, the client gets the best quality possible and a personal touch.
Tuck’s Resume –
The Early Years
Our About Us page show Tuck is well versed in different areas of building, construction, mechanics, and real estate. At 16 years old he was a laborer on a concrete crew. At 18 he was a foreman on a basement waterproofing company. Throughout his college years, he worked at a custom automated welding machine building firm. Here he learned the most about building and engineering principles. His daily duties included reading blueprints, mechanics, welding, machining, hydraulics, and electric work. He applied all these mechanical building applications producing one-of-a-kind custom machines with a small 4-man team.
Throughout his 20’s he held different positions at one of the Nation’s top real estate mortgage firms. He held titles of Operation’s Manager, Sales Manager, and finally the second in command at his firm as the Director of Operations. During his tenure in the mortgage field, he leveraged his loan, building, and real estate contacts to get into the residential home remodeling and resale business. After the loan market crash of 2008, the residential construction business was booming. Natural to Tuck’s entrepreneurial spirit, he made the transition to remodeling and general contracting work full time. He enjoys wearing jeans and boots daily and vowed to never wear a suit for work again. Tuck truly enjoys his day’s work and loves the satisfaction of completing projects for one’s home.
Masonry Hardscaping General Contracting Years
During his 30s, he worked as the General Manager of a large design build firm in Fairfax, VA. He oversaw every aspect of the installation for approximately 300 projects a year totaling 5 million dollars in volume annually. He managed and directed all 3rd parties – including the client, Miss Utility, county permits and inspectors, engineers, the sales force regarding the install, subcontractors, and suppliers – from the initial client contract until the final completion of the job. On the job site, he directed all subcontractors and labor for completion of the work. He has installed every aspect of residential construction. Today Tuck is happy running Tuck GC applying the skills he honed over the years.
Tuck’s Personal Life
In Tuck’s personal life he enjoys anything outdoors. Tuck believes there is nothing more relaxing than enjoying a bourbon on the rocks next to a roaring fire deep in the woods with his dogs. An avid marksman, it’s fitting he belongs to a private shooting club and shoots firearms regularly in competitions, for hunting, and fun. A gearhead since his youth, he spends most weekends riding his custom performance Harley Davidson (and some workdays so don’t be surprised if he shows up to an appointment riding his bike).
The best foremen in the world, Sadie and Roxie – the Corgis, love riding along in the truck most days. Tuck and Pattie (partner in work and personal life) in the last few years have got into RVing. When we aren’t working on projects while shutdown for the winter, we will be somewhere traveling south in our Grand Design Momentum 351m toy hauler with the Harley in the back. One of the best places I have ever visited was on this Ranch in Montana.
